God created us to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually and socially we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one in which to confide when we have a major issue surface in our lives. Living in community affords us the opportunity to experience God more completely through close relationships as we share life together, as we encourage one another, and as we study and obey God’s word together.
At Berlin, a small group usually consists of 10-20 people in various life stages who meet regularly on Sunday mornings for Bible study and fellowship. These groups are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our times of need, and collectively be the hands and feet of Christ in our community and the world around us.
