sunday small groups

God created us to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually and socially we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one in which to confide when we have a major issue surface in our lives. Living in community affords us the opportunity to experience God more completely through close relationships as we share life together, as we encourage one another, and as we study and obey God’s word together.

At Berlin, a small group usually consists of 10-20 people in various life stages who meet regularly on Sunday mornings for Bible study and fellowship. These groups are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our times of need, and collectively be the hands and feet of Christ in our community and the world around us.

children & student ministries

Children & Student Ministry at Berlin includes all young people, ranging from birth to 12th grade. This is a Jesus-focused, Spirit-filled, and life-giving ministry of the church, whose focus is to bring the Gospel of Christ to life in the lives of kids. Our vision is to raise up and empower the next generation to advance God's kingdom by sharing the Gospel of Christ everywhere they go, so that our students can be a significant part of the mission of God in the world.

We primarily focus on discipleship relationships to create an environment in which students can thrive in their walk with Jesus. Our ministry approach is based on a caring community of small groups where Godly relationships can develop - gatherings where students encounter God through worship, teaching and other events, such as mission trips and summer camp.

worship ministry

The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to use music and song to provide an environment for people to glorify God and experience life transformation. Every week, people come together here to enter into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship.

Accomplishing this requires people to use their gifts and talents to serve God and minister to the hearts of His people. We would love for you to get involved if God has blessed you with musical gifts. If you play an instrument or sing, we invite you to consider joining our worship family. Our Audio Visual Team is always looking for sound engineers and video projection operators. We would love for you to serve as we all worship God together through various mediums. If you are interested in being a part of the team, please contact the staff today!

missions here and there

We are passionate about showing neighborhoods and nations who Jesus is. Whether it is down the street or around the world, we can tangibly express God’s love for humanity through our service and sharing. Join in as Berlin extends the mission of the church beyond the walls of a building and shares the love of Christ both in our local communities and in the nations of the world.

Local Missions

Berlin desires to invest in local ministries and organizations that help fill the gap for people in need in our community. Our approach is to form long-term relationships, where we can invest financial resources and create opportunities for our church body to serve and share the love of Jesus. We partner with all the schools in the community as well as a local group called C.T.F.K. (Churches together for kids).

Global Missions

The life-changing message of Jesus Christ is intended for a worldwide audience. We make it our goal to impact nations by equipping believers to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). We partner with ministries in other parts of the world by providing short-term mission teams, financial support and prayer. We participate in the Edisto Baptist Association Youth Mission Trip to South Florida each summer, but we are also working on mission opportunities in West Virginia, Vermont, Brazil, and Peru.
