Spiritual Disciplines

As we navigate the Christian life, we should proceed with purpose and intentionality. God has a purpose for His church and Berlin Baptist is no exception. There are four particular areas in which God is calling us to be obedient. Each area is strategic in its contribution to the glory of God, the health of the church, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Every follower of Jesus Christ is called to spend time reading, studying, and meditating on the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Make it your goal this year to be intentional and proactive about interacting with Scripture.

evangelism

Every follower of Jesus Christ is called to share the good news of the gospel with those who have not yet trusted in Him by grace through faith. Make it your goal this year to be intentional and proactive about sharing Christ.

prayer

Every follower of Jesus Christ is called to spend time with the Lord in prayer. We pray, not in hopes of getting what we want, but in order to submit our thoughts, attitudes, and agendas to the Lord's leadership.

missions

Every follower of Jesus Christ is called to engage in the Great Commission, to make disciples of all nations. We can participate in the mission by praying, giving, and going. Make it your goal this year to do at least one of these.
