The Building of Godly Leaders - Nehemiah 1:1-11

Today we begin our study verse by verse through the book of Nehemiah. In the Hebrew text of the Old Testament, Ezra and Nehemiah were one volume together, so this study is essentially the second part of a two-part series. Nehemiah is serving as cupbearer in the king's court in Persia. When he hears a report concerning the people in Jerusalem he is effected dramatically and moved to action. Scripture text is Nehemiah 1:1-11.
